—-Home Affairs Deputy Minister, Nick Chilangwa, has called on the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) leadership to work in partnership with the civil servants.
Mr Chilangwa said party officials should not interfere with the work of technocrats in the civil service but work as partners with a common goal to develop the nation and improve the living standards of people.
He said the there is no need to fight one another because if they continue fighting there will be no time left to do the work.
Mr Chilangwa, who is on a familiarization tour of North-Western Province, said this when he addressed provincial heads of government departments in Solwezi today.
He advised civil servants also to embrace party officials at all levels so that everyone is moving forward at the same pace in service delivery to the people of Zambia.
The minister further urged civil servants to emulate President Michael Sata in his vision for the development of the country so that everyone is on board and fits in his developmental game plan.
Earlier on during the courtesy call, Provincial Permanent Secretary, Augustine Seyuba, assured that the minister that civil servants in the province are committed to working in line with the PF manifesto.
Mr Seyuba said his administration is working well with all organs of the party except for a few individuals with selfish interests.
