PF commends the church for working with government
Lusaka, March 28, —Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has commended the church for collaborating with government on national issues.
Mr. Kabimba has since called on other stakeholders to emulate the church by working with government to develop the nation.
He likened the church’s collaboration with government to that of Joseph in the Bible when he went to Egypt to help that nation in the area of governance.
Mr. Kabimba said this today in a speech read on his behalf by Lusaka Province PF Chairman Geoffrey Chuumbwe at the convocation ceremony, an event associated with the pass-over ceremony which the children of Israel underwent with Moses.
He has also urged the church to preach and pray against hatred and lies peddled against President Michael Sata.
He stated that the PF government was very willing to work with the church in order to instil justice and order in the nation.
And Theosophic Front chairman Love Mazemo said the celebration has been a double edged one because it coincided with the birthday of Professor (Prophet) St. Martin, the author of the book “Theosophy: A Philosophy of moral clarity.”
Mr. Mazemo has urged the government to help promote authorship in the country so that local people can write and research on issues which will later help equip children to relate to the African environment.
He said it was through promoting authorship that the government can help train and sharpen minds of scholars to do research.
He has also urged the government to train scholars not for them to look for employment in future but to be manufacturers in order to promote local materials locally and internationally.
