Embrace one another , Gen. Kapaya
Mansa,March 19, 2013, ZANIS – Government has called on the Zambia Army Ladies Club to embrace their colleagues in other defence force wings to ensure national development.
Luapula Province Minister Brigadier General Benson Kapaya says while it is encouraging to see the various works being done by the Zambia Army ladies club in the area he expressed his hope that they will embrace their counterparts in other armed forces.
He said it is gratifying Army Ladies visit Luapula province and see how the army Ladies club is working in Mansa.
ZANIS reports that the Provincial Minister said this when Zambia Army Ladies Club patron Christine Mihova who is also wife to Army commander Paul Mihova paid a courtesy call on him in his office, today.
He observed that information flow to areas like Luapula Province is difficulty and indicated that the visit by the Zambia Army Mfuti club from Lusaka will go a long way in boosting the morale of the women in Mansa.
General Kapaya told the Zambia Army Ladies Patron that the Zambia Army Club in Mansa is co-operative and works hard going by the activities which they have being holding.
The Zambia Army Ladies Mfuti club from Lusaka led by Zambia Army Ladies patron Christine Mihova is in Mansa on a 2 day familiarization tour of the Zambia Army Mansa Ladies club.
The tour is also aimed at checking on the projects that are being undertaken by the club in Mansa.
The Zambia Army Ladies Club implements activities throughout the country among them Sensitisation on cervical cancer, HIV/AIDS, and Gender Based Violence.
