FNB donates to orphanage

Ndola, March 7, ZANIS ——- Ndola District Commissioner Gerry Chanda has thanked FNB bank for donating a fridge to Child Life Touch Orphanage on behalf of the women of Ndola.

Mr Chanda said the district administration was grateful to FNB for remembering the orphans as the women celebrated their day.

“We are indebted to the bank for this kind gesture, in spite of the short notice they have quickly responded to us, showing the concern that they have for the vulnerable children in our society,” Mr Chanda said.

And donating the fridge, Chansa Mondwa thanked the project coordinator for International Women’s Day activities Chileya Mufuzi, for according the bank and the women an opportunity to donate to the vulnerable children.

“We are appreciative to the project manager Mrs Mufuzi for giving the women a privilege to donate this fridge to the children and we wish them well as they celebrate their women’s day tomorrow,” she said.

And receiving the fridge Executive Director for the orphanage Ivy Kaira said the orphanage was grateful to the women and the bank for remembering them as they celebrate the women’s day.

“We are so grateful and very happy that now we have a fridge and the children will now be able to live like other children as they will know how it feels like to live in a house with a fridge,” Mrs Kaira said.

Mrs Kaira added that the donation marked the beginning of a lasting relationship between the bank and the orphanage.
