Police in Namwala nab a 39 year old villager in for defiling his step daughter
Namwala, March 2ND. 2013,ZANIS, Police in Namwala District are holding a man aged 39 years old of Mwanamwale village In Mukobela Chiefdom for defiling a minor aged 14 yrs .
Facts of matter are that on dates unknown between October and November last year Smart Musanje defiled Faustina Shimilindi and had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor aged 14 years who is also his stepdaughter.
The biological father of the defiled girl reported the matter to police on the 26th February 2013 after he discovered that his daughter was impregnated by the step father. The victim is currently five months pregnant.
The culprit is currently detained at Namwala Police waiting to appear before trial.
In another development Namwala Police are holding a male aged 32 years by the name of lee Mulimbwa of chief Mungaila’s area village Mulimbwa for defiling his niece by the name of Medna Longo aged 15years of the same village .
Facts of the case are that Lee Mulimbwa is alleged to have defiled Medna Longo on dates unknown between September and October last year 2012 and the girl is currently three months pregnant.
The matter as reported o Namwala police on 25th February 2013.
In a related development Namwala police are investigating into a reported matter were a suspect by the name of Obby Cheelo of Kafumbakwala village of itezhi tezhi district is alleged to have defiled a young girl aged 14 years old of the same village.
Police in the area explained that it is reported that further the elder sister forced the girl into early marriage.
Police are said to be making efforts to bringing the culprit to book and have appealed to people leading to the arrest of the suspect to report to any nearest police.
The matter is reported have occurred between 19th December and 21st December 2012 .
Meanwhile Namwala Police have picked up a body of unidentified male person on 27th February 2013, at about 2030hrs .
Facts of the matter are that on the said dates police received a report that a man was lying unconscious near the Namwala bus stop almost near the market.
When police went on the scene they took the person to Namwala Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Namwala Hospital.
The deceased person is believed to be between 30 and 40 years By Press time the cause of the death was not yet established
