Chieftainess Mukulu’s body arrives in Kasama
Kasama February 27th, 2013-ZANIS- The Body of Chieftainess Chanda Mukulu of the Bemba speaking People of Northern Province has arrived in Kasama from Lusaka.
The body arrived at Kasama airport at 16: 25 hrs aboard a ZAF plane.
Several family members accompanied the body of Chieftainass Chanda Mukulu from Lusaka.
The queen mother’s body will lay in state at the palace waiting burial.
Northern Province Permanent Secretary Hlobota Nkunika, Kasama District Commissioner Kalanga Bwalya and several senior Government officials were at hand to receive the body of the late traditional ruler.
And Northern Province Permanent Secretary Hlobota Nkunika has described the death of the traditional leader as a great loss to the National.
Mr. Nkunika has since wished the bereaved family and the Bemba royal establishment Gods strength during the trying moment.
Chieftainess Chanda Mukulu died at University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka yesterday after an illness.
