Police arrest 24 year old women for murdering child

Lusaka, February, 26.ZANIS—Police in North Western Province have arrested a 24 year old woman for allegedly murdering her 3 year old child.

In a statement to ZANIS, Police Spokesperson Elijah Kanjela said the incidence happened between 1st and 20^th February this year, at an unknown place and time.

 Ms. Kanjela said the decomposed body of the Child was found along a river on February, 22^nd this year and have since been buried.  

She said the suspect has since been arrested and identified as Evelyn Kapepa, of Siwale Village in Kasempa District.

Me. Kanjela  said the suspect has been charged with murder contrary to Section 200 of the Penal Code of the Laws of Zambia and will appear in court soon.
