Government has maintained that it will not relent in strengthening and enhancing Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) operations in the country.
Information and Broadcasting Deputy Minister Mwansa Kapeya notes that government wants to ensure that ZANIS continues to spearhead the provision of effective information to the people.
The Deputy Minister said this when he paid a courtesy call on Mpongwe District Commissioner George Nsali at his office in Mpongwe today.
Mr. Kapeya said President Sata is passionate about the transmission of effective information to Zambians.
He noted that government wants the people of Zambia to know what government projects were being implemented in the country.
He said government will recruit more ZANIS staff to fill up all the vacancies around the country.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nsali observed that effective information is vital in developing the nation hence the need to provide the Zambian people with the much needed information.
