Mporokoso District Commissioner Jennipher Chongo has called on women to support each other on matters of development.
Ms Chongo was speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Mporokoso today just after handing over cheques to selected women clubs.
She said women have the ability to contribute positively to the development of any nation if they work together.
Ms. Chongo said that if women can support each other, it will reduce poverty levels not only in their homes but also in the nation as a whole.
She said government has committed itself in supporting women hence the need for them to support each other too.
Meanwhile, the District Commissioner has urged civil servants in Mporokoso to work hard in order to bring development to their area.
She said last year, the area recorded a number of successes because they all worked as a team, saying even this year if they are to see more development in Mporokoso there is need for hard work.
The District Commissioner also praised civil servants in the area for their continued dedication towards improving the area.
Ms Chongo has since urged the public service workers to continue with the spirit of dedication and hard work.
