The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- has dispelled reports that it is on the verge of firing Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda.
FAZ General Secretary Ponga Liwewe says the reports are not true, further referring all queries to Communications Manager Desmond Katongo.
And Katongo has clarified that Nyirenda is still the head Coach for the Chipolopolo, as no decision has been made to the contrary.
He says any changes to the technical bench are always communicated using the official communication channel.
Katongo says the technical meeting which was held on Friday is a normal procedure whenever the team is involved in an international fixture, at which the technical bench is required to submit a report.
