Grade 12 results, more obtain school certificates

A proportion of candidates that have obtained Grade 12 school certificates for the 2016 has increased by 4.89 percent from 57.05 percent in 2015.

General Education Minister Dennins Wanchinga annonced at a media briefing that they were more boys than girls who obtained the grade 12 certificate.

63.95 oercent boys and 59.5 percent girls obtained the full G12 certificate.

However, Dr Wanchinga has attrubuted the improvement if number of candidates to interventions taken by government such as teacher recruitment among others.

Meanwhile Eastern Province has recorded the highest pass ratio followed by Southern Province.

North Western and Copperbelt provinces recorded the least pass pass ratios.
