Maureen Dlamini, 54, has died

ZAMBIA Chamber of Mines chief executive officer (CEO) Maureen Dlamini, 54, has died after an illness.
Zambia Chamber of Mines communications manager Talent Ng’andwe confirmed the death of Mrs Dlamini in an interview in Lusaka yesterday.
Mr Ng’andwe said Mrs Dlamini died in Lusaka on Sunday around 20:00 hours.
He said the house of mourning is at her residence at house number 159 Lusito Road behind Golden Peacock Hotel in Lusaka’s Roma suburb.
Mrs Dlamini, joined ZCM in 2014 and was the first woman to lead the chamber since its establishment in 1942 to 1965, and again re-established in 2000 following the privatisation of the mines.
