Chingangu brutally beaten by UNZA students

Former boxing heavy-weight champion, Joseph Chingangu, has been brutally beaten by students at the University of Zambia (UNZA) for allegedly attempting to steal a laptop from a student.
This is according to a statement issued by police spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga to ZANIS in Lusaka today.
Mr Hamoonga said Mr Chingangu was caught in action yesterday at unknown time but between 21:00 hours and 22:00 hours.
He said Chingangu is currently admitted to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital, adding that he attempted to get the laptop through the window where the mob of students spotted him and descended on him.
The police spokesperson has warned members of the public engaging in mob justice that the long arm of law will catch up with them because it is a crime.
