PF cadres launch attack against UPND President Hakainde Hichilema

The ruling PF has castigated UPND President Hakainde Hichilema for defending the Post Newspapers over its 63 million Kwacha tax bill to the Zambia Revenue Authority-ZRA.

PF deputy chairperson of elections and lawyer Kelvin Bwalya said it is clear that Mr Hichilema has entered into an alliance with The Post.

Mr Bwalya wondered how those seeking the highest position in the land can defend tax defaulters whose tax bill can help Zambians access drugs in hospitals and safe drinking water.

He also said it is unfair for Mr Hichilema to give an ultimatum to President Edgar Lungu to re -open the Post when the President has nothing to do with the closure of the newspaper.

Mr. Bwalya says in a press statement to ZNBC News that the Post are tax offenders and are obliged to pay their taxation dues just like any Zambian.
