- Actor Will Smith, who portrayed the boxing great in the 2001 film Ali, acted as a pallbearer at the private burial earlier in the day, along with boxing legends Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis
Will Smith and David Beckham were among the many celebrities to pay their respects to Muhammad Ali at the boxing great’s public funeral on Friday.
Ali died last week at the age of 74, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was laid to rest Friday afternoon at Cave Hill cemetery in his native Louisville, Kentucky. While Ali’s burial was a private affair, his family and friends held a public funeral for him at the KFC Center in Louisville after his interment.
