‘Mutati is legitimate MMD leader’

THE Ministry of Home Affairs says former Lunte member of Parliament (MP) Felix Mutati is the legitimate and duly elected president of the MMD.
And MMD national secretary Raphael Nakachinda says the party has notified its bank of changes of signatories to accounts.

Ministry of Home Affairs spokesperson Moses Suwali said in an interview yesterday that: “Following the court decision to throw out Dr Mumba’s appeal, it is clear that the Registrar of Societies acted within the law.”

He explained that the office of the Registrar of Societies received the change of office-bearers and the law was followed.
