The Zambian National Football team is to play Togo in an international friendly scheduled for May 27 in the West African nation.

Football Association of Zambia-FAZ – acting General Secretary Sam Phiri says the friendly is a preparatory game for the national team’s 2017 African qualifier against Guinea Bissau.

Phiri says the team is currently in camp on the Copperbelt and the list of players in the Togo friendly will be unveiled by National Team coach in due course.

The Acting General Secretary was speaking in an interview with ZNBC sports news.

FAZ has however not yet disclosed the national team’s date for departure for Togo.

Zambia drew 1-1 in both legs against Congo Brazzaville dropping to third position.

The National team will now face Guinea Bissau away on June 3, before hosting Kenya in September in the final Group E 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match.
