I don’t have G12 certificate – Mulenga Sata

62

FORMER Lusaka Province Minister Mulenga Sata says he did not go up to Form Five and does not have a Grade 12 certificate.

And Mr Sata has described President Lungu as one of the most pleasant people he has ever met and worked with.
On Tuesday, Mr Sata defected to the United Party for National Development (UPND) and accused the PF of drifting from its original plans and accommodating aliens in the party.
Speaking when he featured on the Hot FM radio station’s The Contender programme in Lusaka yesterday, Mr Sata said he does not have a Grade 12 certificate but believes that the academic qualifications he has are equivalent to that qualification.

  3. …SOME COMMENTS ARE SO SHALLOW. DO YOU THINK MULENGA SATA A PERSON OF THAT CALIBRE,AND A REGISTERED ENGINEER WITH THE ENGINEERING INSTITUTE OF ZAMBIA CAN NOT HAVE A QUALIFICATION EQUIVALENT TO A REQUIRED GRADE 12 CERTIFICATE YOU ARE RANTING ABOUT? SOME PEOPLE ARE SO POROUS IN THEIR HEADS,THEY NEED AN INSTANT PATCHING. SOME OF YOU YOU ARE TOTAL FAILURES,YOU ARE LUCKY THAT YOU CAN TWIST YOUR TONQUES IN ENGLISH,AND ONE MIGHT THINK YOU ARE EDUCATION,KANSHI NINSHI ULI FOLO. OH SORRY EDUCATED…

  4. Mulenga, has an equivalent qualification to a grade 12 certificate obtained from Botswana. furthermore, he is a qualified Civil Engineer. learn to read the full article and not just the headline before commenting.

    • chisanga, you’re right but in this case Mulenga has a certificate equivalent to our grade 12. personally, I don’t see why we should disqualify someone with a degree(specialization) because they don’t have a grade 12 certificate. This issue should be interpreted further by the constitutional court.

    • It doesn’t matter, that Exam Cambridge GCSE isn’t recognised in Zambia. Anyone can write in person and on behalf of someone….. Even a grade 7 can go and write it..

    • ECZ does not interpret the law. Therefore, in order to have a clear understanding of the law the arm of govt responsible for interpretation should do so. Zambia qualification agency ZAQA should also give clear guidelines on the subject.

  5. Harton Musonda you r right.this where i fail to understand the worth of our law makers. They vote for a clause that is against them. They had time to look at the clause and without thinking they vote for it.Ati they tricked us.Where?

  6. i find it foolish and beyond foolish for these leaders who dont have G12 certificate because all government offices need us to produce a G12 when we are applying for a job. may be its hight time all zambian firms and offices stop asking for G12 certificates that way it will be fair. we can not be governed by leaders who dont have the document they are demanding from us.

  7. G12 Certificate Is Needed 4 A Lawmaker 4 Him Or Her To Understand And Articulate Things Better.Nowander We Dont Develop.Luk At Britain The Minimum Qualification A Degree But They Are Doing Better With Few Natural Resources They Have
