GBM reported to police for making threats

The ruling Patriotic Front –PF has reported opposition UPND vice president for administration Geofrey Mwamba to the police for allegedly making threats on President Edgar Lungu.

PF Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya has reported Mr. MWAMBA at Lusaka Central Police.

Mr. Bwalya said Mr. Mwamba is alleged to have said he will now go for the throat of President Lungu shortly at a UPND meeting Wednesday evening after being released from Police custody .

Mr. Bwalya, who spent about three hours at the police station said the nature of Mr Mwamba’s statement is dangerous and threatening.

He told journalists that police have instituted investigations into the matter.

Mr. Mwamba was on Wednesday arrested and charged with drilling a militia but was later released on police bond.
