President, Edgar Lungu, has warned UPND leaders, Hakainde Hichilema and his vice, Geoffrey Mwamba, to dismantle the militia group his party has formed in Lusaka.

President Lungu says he has information that Mr. Mwamba is allegedly sponsoring the training of about 250 militia in Lusaka under the watch of an infamous violent cadre, Innocent Kalimanshi.

The President warned that he will use his authority as President to deal with the two UPND leaders if they don’t dismantle the militia group.

President Lungu says peace is very paramount to Zambia and will not compromise by watching the formation of militia.

And President Lungu told the cheering market traders that government will soon construct a modern market and bus stop in the district.

The President says designs for the two projects are underway so that marketeers operate in a conducive environment.

President Lungu also says he will ensure that the agriculture sector continue flourishing by distributing farmer inputs on time, improving road network and markets.

The President was speaking when he addressed market traders in Katete District today.
