LUNGU warns UPND

President Lungu has warned the opposition UPND against causing confusion in the country ahead of next year’s general elections.

President Lungu says he has received information that the UPND is planning to instigate anarchy and violence as the nation prepares for the tripartite elections.

The Head of State Lungu warned that law enforcement agencies stand ready to curb confusion and appealed to the opposition to hold their peace.

ZANIS reports that President Lungu has declared the PF is ready for next year’s elections under a new republican constitution which he said was a demand by all Zambians.

The President has since urged PF members in Northern Province to resist violence and uphold peace in the region.

President Lungu was speaking at Kasama Airport upon arrive in the district this morning.
