Shalom bus driver loses right arm

A DRIVER has lost his right arm, while 19 people have suffered injuries when a Shalom Bus Services Marcopolo bus careered off the Great North Road in Mpika on Wednesday.
Muchinga Province deputy commissioner of police Peter Bubenshi confirmed the accident, which happened at Kalonje area about 80 Km from Mpika.

 

The bus was heading o Nakonde. Mr Bubenshi identified the driver as Mwilwa Mutale, 40, of Save Our Souls in Lusaka, who was driving the Marcopolo bus registration number AJC 4446.
“The bus slipped off the road and fell on the right side and the driver lost his arm in the accident.
“Also injured are 12 men and seven female passengers,” Mr Bubenshi said.
He said Mr Mutale and the injured were all admitted to Chilonga Mission Hospital.
