Zambia Association of Musicians-President Njoya Tembo has condemned UPND cadres for their violent attacks on singer Wesley Chibambo popularly known as Dandy Crazy at Natasha Nite Club in Mazabuka where he was scheduled to perform.
Mr. Tembo says ZAM is saddened because the incident comes barely a month after the country had a day of national prayer and fasting held on 18th October.
He says the day of national prayer is supposed to be yielding positive results such as tolerance, love, forgiveness and repentance.
Mr. Tembo says every person is entitled to have the freedom of movement without having to look over their shoulders for possible attackers.
He was speaking to ZNBC news in a walk-n interview in Lusaka on Tuesday.
On Monday , the Patriotic Front PF called for the arrest of UPND members who attacked Chibambo.
Chibambo was attacked and assaulted reportedly in full view of police officers.
