President Lungu has pardoned Copperbelt University Students and Lectures and that all disciplinary actions leveled against them have since been dropped.
Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda says the students who were protesting against government have been pardoned and peace has retained at the second highest learning institutions.

Mr. Chanda has told journalists in Lusaka that Copperbelt University Students Union (COBUSU) and CBU Lecturers have since resolved to work with government and engage in constant consultations to ensure that the reputation of the Universities is not put in disrepute.
He says the president will be meeting the students and lectures to engage more them in dialogue when time allows.
