Zambia midfielder Lubambo Musonda on Wednesday night helped put Gandzasar one foot into the semifinals of the 2015/2016 Armenian Cup.
Gandzasar beat defending champions Pyunik 3-1 away in a quarterfinal first leg match to take healthy advantage into the final leg decider at home on November 4.
Lubambo scored one goal in the 61st minute in-between team mate Narek Beglaryan’s brace in the 41st and 74th minute to see Gandzasar rally from one-down after Pyuink had taken the lead in the opening half-hour.

Meanwhile, there was no such joy for Lubambo’s Zambia Under-23 team mate and striker Ronald Kampamba on the same evening in Egypt on the opening day of the 2015/2016 season at Wadi Degla.
Wadi Delga kicked off the new campaign with a 2-0 away defeat to the defending champions Zamalek in Cairo.
There was more disappointment for Kampamba who did not play in the match as he begins his first full season at the Cairo club since joining them in the second part of the 2014/2015 campaign in January from record Zambian champions Nkana on a three-and-half-year deal.
Kampamba, who played 20 games and scored one goal in his first season in Egypt, was an unused substitute in the match.
