PATRIOTIC Front (PF) secretary-general Davis Chama says the ruling party is devising “air-tight” measures to curb leakage of classified information.
Mr Chama said some uncultured and indisciplined individuals have been leaking information.
Mr Chama said this in an interview on Monday.
“When one is frustrated, they end up leaking information in anticipation of getting sympathy from other people. But this is not the best way of resolving issues,” Mr Chama said.
He said it is a challenge to control or stop leakages because it is difficult to determine the intentions of some people who come across privileged information.
Mr Chama wondered what motivates some senior party leaders and members to leak party information because doing so is detrimental to its operations.

Mr Chama also disclosed that he summoned former PF media director Brian Hapunda last week to establish the truth about a phone conversation in which he (Hapunda) allegedly shared some information against Mr Chama and other senior Government and party officials.
“I spoke with Brian but he categorically denied [being the person in the recording] and that he was just being framed by his enemies,” he said.
Mr Chama also said that the leaking of President Lungu’s speech to Parliament is unfortunate.
“I am sure one day we will catch the perpetrator red-handed. For today they could be lucky but for how long?” he said.
