WHEN it rains entertainment on DStv, it certainly pours! From October 1, subscribers on Compact Plus will be spoiled for choice when DStv adds more entertainment channels to packages.
Following the addition of CBeebies, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Brit and an Open Week (September 28– October 2) of Comedy Central in anticipation of Trevor Noah’s debut on The Daily Show to Compact Plus and Compact, DStv will make a further channel addition to Compact Plus to boost subscribers’ entertainment programming.
“We’re delighted to bring our subscribers this refresh that will ensure that they get the best value for their bouquet. By ensuring that channels and content are effectively organised and structured to offer the ultimate solution to home television entertainment, each bouquet will continue to offer a channel combination specifically designed for the subscriber needs and preferences,” says MultiChoice Zambia acting general manager Ngoza Matakala.
From October 1, Compact Plus subscribers will have access to TCM on DStv channel 137 which offers a refreshed look, a new feel and an updated programming slate.

By introducing this major change in the channel´s tone, brand image and programming strategy, the TCM experience has initiated a whole new level of quality entertainment. Blockbuster fans are now able to benefit from a host of original titles stemming right from the most prestigious Hollywood studios.
Prime time and weekend specials have also been rejuvenated to include explosive action-blocks, chilling thriller specials and frontier-pushing sci-fi events.
This October, TCM integrates seasonal events such as Halloween where horror film fans will be treated to some of the most terrifying movies of all time along with an exciting array of new film titles and themed programming in the upcoming months.
Horror will be served every Saturday at 21:00 hours, creating suspense to end October with a shuddering horror marathon, giving goose bumps throughout Saturday, October 31.
Viewers can also look forward to an exclusive in-house documentary about George Lucas that will launch this December to celebrate the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, with many more acquisitions to come. – MULTICHOICE ZAMBIA
