Vice president Inonge Wina has challenged Christians to inspire the nation by promoting peace.

Mrs Wina says the church has a mandate to promote peace in the country.

The Vice President says even on the political scene where politicians may be at loggerheads with each other, the church must come in to promote peace.

Mrs Wina adds that all Christians belong to one God and as such, all are his children.

She was speaking during a church service at Manyama Christian Community church in Kalumbila district on Sunday morning.

The Vice President who arrived at Solwezi airport this morning is in the area on a two-day visit.

She was received at the airport by Defence Minister Richwell Siamunene, Northwestern province minister Dawson Kafwaya, Community Development Deputy Minister Josephine Limata, PF leaders, PF candidate in the Solwezi West by election Martin Mbaya, government officials and hundreds of residents.

Mrs WINA is accompanied by Tourism minister Jean Kapata, Lands Minister Christabel Ngimbu, Mufumbwe MP Steven Masumba among others.

The Vice president will this afternoon hold a rally at Muyashi school grounds in Matebo to drum up support for PF candidate in next week’s Solwezi West by election Martin Mbaya.
