ZESCO Concerned, Customers Are Being Careless with Power


Zesco has expressed concern at the number of houses that have continued being gutted as a result of careless on the part of its customers.


Zesco spokesperson Henry Kapata says his company has realized that from January to date there have been 27 houses that have been gutted as a result of poor wiring and earthling systems.


Mr. Kapata says Zesco has taken note that substandard insulation materials such as plastics has have also been common.

He has advised it is therefore important for people in the country to use qualified electricians to avoid losing their hard earn properties as well as lives.


Mr. Kapata has told Qfm News that this is addition to always switching off electrical appliances whenever there is load shedding.
