Government is concerned that young children have access to the Internet without adult supervision.

Communications and Transport Minister Yamfwa Mukanga says this is according to a survey on online risks and Vulnerability conducted by the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority -ZICTA.

 

Mr. Mukanga says this is why Government and ZICTA is working on measures to ensure that Children and every Internet user in Zambia are safe.

The Minister was speaking in Lusaka on Thursday through his Deputy Minister James Kapyanga during the official opening of the two day train the trainer workshop.

 

 

And ZICTA Director Technology and Engineering Patrick Matimushi who read a speech on behalf of the Director General says the train the trainer workshop will provide collaboration necessary for information sharing on how best to protect children online.
