PF- Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri says UPND leader Hakainde Hichilena should not waste time campaigning that he will bring back Anglo America and chase away KCM.
Speaking in an interview with ZNBC News, Mrs. Phiri says Zambians have not forgotten how Anglo America left Zambia during the time of need.
Mr. Hichilema was quoted in some sections of the media as suggesting he would bring back Anglo America if voted into power.
Anglo American Plc (AAL) pulled out its investments from Zambia in 2002 after the collapse of copper prices but last year the mining firm returned to Zambia, Africa’s biggest copper producer, to explore for the metal.
Anglo is operating in Northwestern Zambia where the government granted it two exploration licenses in December 2012.
