Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has identified a new coach for Chipolopolo who will be engaged soon once consultations with government are concluded, although the latter’s name has not been mentioned.
Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, FAZ Communications Manager Nkweto Tembwe said the new coach‘s identity has been withheld until the deal is finalised with the ministry of sports.
Tembwe said current caretaker of Chipolopolo George Lwandamina will continue drilling the squad until the new coach is engaged.
He added that the current technical bench will not be changed even after the arrival of the new coach and that Lwandamina will be assisting the new coach.
Meanwhile the FAZ coaching license Class D will now be conducted on a monthly basis at the Olympic Youth Development Centre and participants will be required to pay a fee of K300.
Tembwe said FAZ has partnered with OYDC to develop the sport at grassroots level.
