The Drug Enforcement Commission in Lusaka has arrested a Door Bouncer of a named night club in Northmead area for trafficking in cocaine.
Drison Shawa, 47, of Mtendere Township has been arrested for trafficking in five (05) rocks of cocaine. The suspect was arrested as he was about to supply the drugs to a DEC agent.

In Muchinga Province, the Commission has arrested Frank Chileshe, 21, of Ntindi village in Nakonde District for being in possession of nine (09) satchets of heroin. The suspect was apprehended near Ntindi village as he was about to make a sell.

Meanwhile, the Commission in the last three days has arrested 60 people countrywide for trafficking in various quantities of cannabis.
In Western Province, the Commission arrested Joseph Mwache, 27, of St John’s Area in Libinga village and Charles Lweshi Kozhi, 43, of Iluya village both of Kaoma District for trafficking in loose cannabis weighing 287.8kg. The two were arrested in Mwulwe area aboard a Mongu bound Bus.

And in Eastern Province, the Commission has arrested Vincent Zulu, 40, a Businessman of Magazine Compound in Chipata District for trafficking in 58kg of loose cannabis.
Also arrested and jointly charged in Petauke District is Adelina Phiri, 75, a Peasant farmer of Chibisa village and her husband Edwin Phiri, 76, a Peasant farmer of the same abode for trafficking in loose cannabis weighing 7.5kg.
All suspects will appear in court soon.
