Loadshedding will reduce by end of year -Chisanga

The Zambia Development Agency -ZDA- has predicted a reduction in load shedding by the end of this year.

ZDA Director General says this is because the Maamba thermal power station, Itezhi Tezhi hydro power project and the Ndola energy will produce about 460 megawatts by the end of this year.

Mr. Chisanga says ZDA working with other stakeholders through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement, would sell some power to ZESCO in order to reduce the deficit levels before the end of this year.

He was speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka.

Mr. Chisanga has commended ZESCO for working towards stabilizing the current situation in order to satisfy both local and foreign investors.
