A 36 year old man of Kitwe’s parklands area has been burnt to death after a makeshift store, he was sleeping in caught fire.

Kitwe Council spokesperson Dorothy Sampa says the charred body of the man only identified as Misheck was found among the debris at the shop.

Ms. Sampa told ZNBC News at the scene that the fire brigade received a call around 04 :00 hours Tuesday about the fire at the makeshift stall located on Lumumba road in Parklands.

She said when the team rushed to the scene they found fire had engulfed the entire makeshift stall which had an assortment of goods including flammables.

But relatives to the deceased are suspecting foul play.

Speaking to ZNBC News at the funeral house the relatives claimed that the man might have been murdered by unknown people and later dumped in the makeshift stall before setting it on fire.
