The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia says it is unethical and unprofessional for any media house to take sides in their reporting.

Reacting to Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Joseph Katema’s statement that some media houses are meddling in the wrangles involving the Ngoni’s and the Chewa’s by taking sides, MISA Zambia Chairperson Helen Mwale says journalists should always strive to balance their stories no matter their interests.

Ms. Mwale says MISA Zambia is concerned with the way the media are writing the stories on the tribal conflict involving the Chewa’s and the Ngoni’s.

Ms. Mwale says the media should get the views of all the traditional leaders involved and not just one.
