Boxer Esther Phiri will have a second chance to prove herself in the ring following comeback from retirement in a rematch with Sandra Almeida of South Africa on September 12, 2015.

 

Exodus Boxing Stables Promotions Manager, Anthony Mwamba says the fight will be staged Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka.

Although many Zambian fans thought Esther won the May 22 fight with Sandra, the Judges ruled the match as a technical draw.

Mwamba expressed concern on how the last WIBA/ WBF Unification ABU welterweight match between the two boxers was handled.

 

The rematch fight between Esther Phiri and Sandra Almeida of South Africa will be held on 12th September 2015 at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka.

He however says the stable respected the referee’s decision and hoped that the rematch between Esther and Sandra would be satisfactory.

 

Meanwhile, the Stable has unveiled a K700,000 budget for the encounter.

Best Western Plus are the sponsors of the fight and will accommodate Phiri.

The match first match between the two boxers took place on May 22nd, this year, but it had to be stopped in the third round when Sandra was punched in the face causing excessive bleeding.

The bout ended in a technical draw.
