Reigning Absa Premiership champions Kaizer Chiefs have registered their interest in Power Dynamos defender Christopher Muntali.

According to Munthali’s agent Chiti Chitundu, Amakhosi have already made contact with him regarding the availability of the 24-year-old centre-back.

“Yes, that information is accurate. I recently received a call from Bobby Motaung [Chiefs football manager] regarding my player Chris. That’s all the information I give you at the moment,” Chitundu told Goal.

Munthali represented Zambia in the 2015 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Equatorial Guinea early this year, and his experience could be vital, especially after the departure of Tefu Mashamaite.

Chiefs have already snapped up Free State Stars utility defender Daniel Cardoso on a three-year deal, whilst they are also interested in FC Rostov center-half Siyanda Xulu.
