Construction of new Kasama airport starts

Construction of the K 141 million Kasama international airport  has started.
 
And Northern Province Minister Freedom Sikazwe is happy with the works  done so far on the project.
 
Mr. Sikazwe said the commencement of the project was long overdue adding that it was gratifying that it had finally kicked off.
 
He said this when he and the Provincial Permanent Secretary Hlobota Nkunika inspected the construction site.

 
Mr. Sikazwe expressed optimism that the project will be completed under the stipulated time of one year.
 
The Provincial Minister has since urged the contractor to ensure that they worked with the provincial administration on the project.
 
He said Government will do everything possible to ensure that it supported the works so that the project runs smoothly.

 
And ANHUI SHUIAN Construction Group, the contractor working on the project, has assured Government that the project will be completed under the stipulated time frame of 12 months.
 
Project Manager Mating Min said the company has started doing all the ground works and that all the  workers are at the site ready to start work.
