The former UPND Vice President has since urged the PF to work with new members to support President Lungu for him to continue ruling beyond 2016.

And President Edgar Lungu says Mr. Kapita was a factor in the UPND for the past 17 years.

Meanwhile President Lungu has urged young people to obtain National Registration Cards -NRCs for them to register as voters.

And PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri says the President LUNGU has a great consideration for women and youths.

And Bangwe Naviley reports that President Lungu says he is inspired by the 8-hundred and 50 Million US Dollars injection into the construction of Zambia’s largest copper ore smelter by Kansanshi Mine in Solwezi.

Meanwhile, Patriotic front media and publicity committee vice chairperson Sunday Chanda says the defecting of the UPND vice President Richard Kapita to join the ruling party is a demonstration that President Edgar Lungu’s leadership remains transformational, and beyond reproach.

Mr. Chanda says it is clear that President Lungu is determined to take development to all parts of the Country and remains ready to work with all Zambians beyond the political divide.

He alleged that the resignation the UPND vice president to join the ruling party is indictment on the self-centered, mediocre and failed leadership style of one UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema.

Mr. Chanda says it is irresponsible for the UPND party to incite his followers to mock the police by applying for police permits and copying the leadership style of the late president Michael Sata.

He said this in a statement released to ZNBC news in Lusaka.

Mr Chanda further said those with the gift of knowledge within UPND are rethinking their allegiance and it’s easy for them to see that the only party of choice remains PF.

Meanwhile, Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri says the opposition Rainbow Party should not be taken seriously because it is not popular.

Addressing the media in Solwezi, Mrs Phiri dared the party to field a candidate in the forth-coming Parliamentary by-elections to test its popularity.

She says the Rainbow Party is only popular in one newspaper adding that it has a lot of work to do to win the leadership of the Country.

Recently Ranbow Party President Wyinter Kabimba says his party will not participate in the forthcoming parliamentary by-election because it wants to concentrate on mobilizing ahead of the 2016 General election.

And Mrs. Phiri says President Edgar Lungu has a 5 year mandate because he was elected at a national convention.

And 75 members of the opposition Alliance for Democracy and Development -ADD- have defected to the Patriotic Front in Mulobezi.

The defectors were led by Mulobezi ADD district chairperson Gift Mwendabai.

Mr Mwendabai says he decided to defect to the PF because it is the only party providing hope to the people in the province.

The defectors were received by Education Minister Micheal Kaingu and the PF candidate in the Mulobezi Parliamentary by election Patricia Mulasikwanda.

And Ms Mulasikwanda says President Edagr Lungu loves the people of western province as can be witnessed by the various development projects taking place in the region.
