Man who escaped from Kanfinsa prison arrested after police tip off

Police in Kalulushi have arrested a 37 year-old inmate Kelly Njovu for escaping from unlawful custody at Kanfinsa Prison in Kitwe.
ZANIS reports from Kalulushi District that Police sources in Kitwe confirmed the development in an interview , today.
Njovu who was serving a sentence at Kanfinsa Prison for manslaughter escaped as he was treated as a trustee at that prison.
Police said when he escaped he went to stay with his wife in Chibuluma, but a concerned resident tipped off the police.

The escapee will appear in court soon.

Zanis
