Mpombo asks govt to be categorical on constitution roadmap

Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has noted the need for government to clearly state the roadmap of the current constitution making process.

The PDP wants the Patriotic Front government to clear the misunderstandings and misinterpretations that have continued to surround the mode of adopting Zambia’s new constitution.

PDP president George Mpombo says his party finds it important that government puts to an end this misunderstandings and misinterpretations as it also amounts to manipulation.

Dr. Mpombo has told Qfm News by telephone that this is particularly that people are already assuming that government is allegedly on piecemeal path of enacting the country’s new supreme law.

He states that it will therefore be helpful if government categorically state its intended position.
