PATRIOTIC FRONT-PF WARD ELECTIONS FOR KASAMA’S KUMAULA WARD IN LUKASHYA CONSTITUENCY HELD ON 25TH APRIL, 2015 HAVE BEEN ANNULLED.
PF-Kasama District Chairperson, Caleb Monta confirmed the development to Mano News today in a walk-in interview.
But, Mr. Monta could not give clear reasons for the quashing of the said elections.
He was however quick to disclose that fresh elections will be held tomorrow, 6th April, 2015 in Soft Katongo village.
The April 25th, 2015 PF ward elections for Lua-Luo and Kupumaula in Lukashya constituency were marred with confusion after allegations that the area Member of Parliament, Alfredah Kansembe rejected the candidates that emerged victorious.
Patrick Kafula and Lameck Chisanga scooped the positions of chairperson for two wards respectively, but their triumph was short lived.
The angry duo accused the Parliamentarian of trying to impose her preferred candidates, a situation that forced them to storm Radio Mano in the company of irate cadres to air their complaints.
