A third year Information Technology (IT) student at the Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZICAS) has won the 2014 national global student entrepreneur competition.

Fidelis Chulu, 23, who beat five other contestants, will represent Zambia at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) finals which will take place in Washington DC from April 15 to 17, 2015.

The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is a premier global competition for student entrepreneurs who require mentorship, recognition and connections to improve their businesses.

And speaking to ZANIS shortly after being declared winner in Lusaka yesterday, Mr. Chulu urged fellow young people in the country to wisely use their talents in order to enhance their capacity.

Meanwhile, Global Student Entrepreneur Awards Zambia Host Edwin Zulu urged students and graduates in the country to develop their ideas into successful businesses.

Mr. Zulu said graduates should not be crying for employment but should instead strive to create employment with their acquired skills.
