Republican President Edgar Lungu has wasted no time getting down to work following his return from South African where he underwent a successful medical procedure for Achalasia, a disorder of the esophagus that prevents normal swallowing.
President Lungu who returned yesterday, this morning chaired a Cabinet meeting at State House attended by sixteen Ministers.
President Lungu who was in a jovial mood apologized to Cabinet Ministers for delaying in turning up for the meeting, which he said was because he was attending to other official duties.
The Head of State was on Saturday discharged from a Pretoria Hospital where he was admitted after specialist doctors certified him fit to resume full duties.
He is expected to return to South Africa for medical review in a few weeks time.
