Lucky Mulusa is Lungu’s project monitoring Special Assistant

President Edgar Lungu has today sworn in former Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) Solwezi  Central Member
of Parliament, Lucky Mulusa as his Special Assistant for Project Monitoring and Implementation.

President Lungu has also sworn in Daniel Siwo and Flatela Msimuko as his Private Secretaries.

Speaking in an interview after being sworn in, Mr. Mulusa said his main task is to find out why many development projects in the country
are not completed on time.

Mr. Mulusa said he will also find out why funds for some projects were not released on time so that they can be implemented effectively.

He further said there was need to find out why there was budget over run in some cases.

He pointed out that budget overruns have a bearing on the future generation of the country.

Mr. Mulusa said he has been given a huge responsibility but pledged to live up to the expectations of the people and look at ways to ensure
all Zambians are integrated in project monitoring.

He said he was humbled that President Lungu has recognised his potential to serve the people of Zambia.

Mr. Mulusa added that he was now a civil servant who was ready to serve the President and the people of Zambia at large.
