Govt releases funds for tarring Chavuma t/ship roads

–Government has released about K128 million for the tarring of 9.5 km township roads in Chavuma District of North-western Province.

 

Chavuma District Commissioner, Lawrence Kayumba, who confirmed the development to ZANIS this morning, said the funds will carter for the tarring of about 5 township roads in selected places that will make up 9.5 km.

 

Mr Kayumba said the contractor, Alsphat Contractors, is currently mobilising equipment and will soon move on site.

 

He said the road construction project will further create job opportunities for both youths and women who are the most vulnerable groups in society.
