Dear Editor,
We have taken note of your Editorial of 20th February 2015 in which you have continued your relentless failed propaganda attempts against Dr. Nevers Mumba and the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD). We would like to respectfully inform you that the party has now changed gear and is moving into a serious phase of reorganizing, restructuring and reinvigorating the party structures in our ongoing process of preparing for the 2016 elections.
We take a leaf from the Bible in the book of Nehemiah, where he (Nehemiah) was continuously harassed by three Arabians called Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem. They relentlessly tried to discourage him from rebuilding the broken walls of Jerusalem. In the face of ridicule, intimidation and all manner of threats, Nehemiah stayed focused and finally completed the project and similarly, the New Hope MMD is determined to rebuild its “walls”.
I am doing a great work, so that I can not come down to you. Why should the work cease whilst I leave it and come down to you? (Excerpt from Nehemiah 6:1-4, King James Version)
