The Patriotic Front (PF) in Mitete district has suspend its Muyondoti Ward councilor Isimwa Sianga for unethical conduct and failing to comply with the  party constitution.

In a letter addressed to Mr. Sianga and made available to ZANIS in Lukulu yesterday by the District Party Chairman Morgan Kambeu, it is alleged that Mr. Sianga deserted the official party general conference which was held in Lusaka from 28 to 30November, 2014 after allegedly receiving money for campaign activities.

Mr. Kambeu further stated that Mr. Sianga publicly announced his endorsement of the UPND presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema in the just ended January 20 Presidential elections and campaigned for him during radio programs on Lukulu FM community radio station on three occasions.

The letter further stated that even after the elections, Mr. Sianga has been found breaking peace and bringing disunity in the party in the district which is evident from a party meeting he has organized scheduled for February 28, 2014.

The Party chairman stated that allegations leveled against Mr. Sianga were too strong to be ignored by the party hence the suspension slapped on him in order to promote peace, love, development and unity of the party.

Mr. Kambeu said efforts were made on several times to have him appear before the constituency and the district committee and answer to the charges against him but did not comply.

The letter also instructed the district council management not to allow Mr. Sianga to attend any council meetings or carry out council duties in the capacity of Muyondoti Ward until further notice.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sianga said he could not comment on his suspension because  he had not yet received a copy of his letter.
