Chief Macha appeals for market for his subjects’ produce
Choma, February 7, 2015, ZANIS———- Chief Macha of the Tonga speaking people of Choma has called on government to help famers in his area to find a market to sale their produce.
The Chief says his subjects do not have a ready market where to sale their produce.
He said this in the end has left his subjects to experience financial challenges as they cannot sell their produce.
He said this when Southern province minister Nathaniel Mubukwanu paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Choma yesterday.
He also called on government to work on feeder roads and some bridges in his chiefdom which he said are in bad state.
And Provincial minister Nathaniel Mubukwanu said government remains committed to uplifting the living standards of people in the country through empowerment programs such as, the Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission among others.
He said government welcomes initiatives by collaborating partners such as the church, which has played a pivotal role in infrastructure development in the country.
